Along the trail, there are specific camping spots for those with canoes, as well as regular camping facilities.<\/p>\n<h3>Canoe &amp; Camp Packages<\/h3>\n<p>At Getn\u00f6-Lake \u00c5snen Resort, we offer various packages for canoe camping, which includes 2 vouchers\/cano camping checks, for staying overnight at the different camping spots. It is possible to start your trip in different spots in the northern parts and then paddle south to Getn\u00f6. We have a cooperation with a local taxi company, that can transport you to your desired starting point. A paddle trip in Lake \u00c5snen, starting and finishing at Getn\u00f6, is something we highly recommend for our guests.<\/p>\n<p>Due to the invasive plant the &#8220;fringed waterlily&#8221;, that has appeared in later years in the southern parts of the canoe trail, we only rent out our canoes in Lake \u00c5snen. In order to prevent the spread of this plant, it is <u>not<\/u> allowed to paddle further south than Hackekvarn and \u00c5lshult. The county administration has more information. (read further: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.getnogard.se\/en\/beware-of-fringed-water-lily\/\">fringed water lily<\/a>)<\/p>\n\t<h2>Experience Canoe &amp; Camp around Lake \u00c5snen<\/h2>\n<p>At Getn\u00f6 &#8211; Lake \u00c5snen Resort, we offer different canoe &amp; camp packages, everything from two days to 1 week. By gliding silently in a canoe, you can get closer to nature, you can feel the calm, and admire the wild- and birdlife around you. Paddle through \u00c5snen&#8217;s National park and discover the Big Five of \u00c5snen: the osprey, the eagle, the blackthrouted diver, the crane, as well as the king of the forest; the moose. After a day&#8217;s trip, you may set up camp at one of the specific camping spots. Enjoy the campfire at sunset, and perhaps grill the newly caught perch? We guarantee an unforgettable experience in nature &#8211; but on nature&#8217;s terms. Start your canoe &amp; camp adventure at Getn\u00f6 &#8211; Lake \u00c5snen Resort, located in its own archipelago south of \u00c5snen&#8217;s National park!<\/p>\n<p>Important information to know before heading out on a paddle trip:<\/p>\n<h3>Rules for Lake \u00c5snen<\/h3>\n<p>Between April 1 &#8211; September 30 there is a total FIRE BAN around the \u00c5snen area! It is forbidden to light a fire within 100 metres of \u00c5snen&#8217;s shoreline. You may use portable stoves and may ONLY light a fire at the approved campfire spots that are located at the various camping spots.<\/p>\n<p>It is forbidden to put up camp within \u00c5snen&#8217;s National park, and also within the various nature reserves. You may stay overnight at Utsikten, located north of Trollberget. It is not allowed to damage, take or kill plants, moss and trees with axes or knives. You may pick berries and any edible mushrooms, except for those on Bjurk\u00e4rr. House boats and jet skis are not allowed around Lake \u00c5snen and use of drones is prohibited around the national park. All dogs must be on a leash at all times!<\/p>\n<p>It is prohibited to enter the bird sanctuaries, between February 1 &#8211; August 15. \u00a0Please look over the official chart of Lake \u00c5snen to see the mentioned areas. Follow the chart closely when you are paddling, in order to prevent from entering the sanctuaries. There are colour marked buoys that mark these areas.<\/p>\n<p>You must also buy a fishing permit to be able to fish in Lake \u00c5snen, although this permit not give you access to areas that are prohibited. It is also important to be aware of the weather conditions, as the weather can change quickly around the lake. During thunder, do not go out on the lake, instead seek shelter on land.<\/p>\n<h3>Canoe Camping places<\/h3>\n<p>Several land owners have opened up various canoe camping spots (areas marked with shelter symbols on the map). They offer simple service with shelter, approved campfire and grill spots, garbage cans, drytoilets and firewood. It is possible to stay here for SEK 80:- per person, and SEK 40:- per child under 12 years old. The cost can be payed with cash or with vouchers\/canoecamping checks, that are sold with the canoe safari packages.<\/p>\n<p>In order to preserve our delicate nature, the maximum group size around Lake \u00c5snen is six canoes \/ 12 people per group. Help us preserve our beautiful nature, so that it can be enjoyed by future generations.<\/p>\n<p>Take your garbage with you home or leave them in the garbage cans at the camping spots.<\/p>\n<p>Keep \u00c5snen clean!
