Åsnen’s National Park is our closest neighbor to the west. Getnö is the natural waterway into the National Park. It is easy to access through boat, canoe or kayak. It is even possible to bike to the various park entrances.

Getnö Gård – Lake Åsnen Resort is a nature preservation area that is 1500 hectares big, and is located in the middle of beautiful Lake Åsnen, and is surrounded by wildlife preserves, bird sanctuaries and the newly opened National Park of Åsnen. Lake Åsnen is a lake rich with fish, a true El Dorado for anglers, nature lovers and bird watchers. There is a good chance to see the famous osprey, as well as the white-tailed eagle, the black-throated diver, the great crested grebe and other seabirds. Do not forget your camera and binoculars. We offer living accommodations in Smolandian cottages or on camping grounds. Our restaurant has the woods and the lake as its pantry, ready to be used for our Smolandian specialties. At Getnö Gård, there is also a store, a country café, a front desk, a fishing shop, an information room, a restaurant and a pub.
